A completely new theatrical experience for me from John Busser. Known for delivering top-tier — if not the very best — comedy, Busser surprises with an emotionally charged piece overflowing with heart and hope. A blend of sci-fi and the hopeful promise of political change, this play has the potential to deeply resonate with audiences everywhere. Exceptional work.

08/11/2025 - From the moment this play begins, I was completely engrossed. The way the stage is set up, the body on the medical table, the interaction between the colonel and the senator is all masterful as are the various unexpected revelations. A strong drama piece with moments of horror, moments of hope, and a lasting heartwarming tale sure to inspire any audience. Well done!

This play had me crying. The glow of hope from the visitor was palpable. I felt it. I love the patience with which this story unfurls. I love the thought that this very thing could be true and there is someone out there patiently waiting to heal us.

I was all set for a twist in typical John Busser style (cue Orson Welles), but the twist here is that this intense and intriguing story has one of the most inspiring and hopeful takes on our world. The characters are deftly drawn and deeply involved with the events that happen, and the audience will be holding their breath as it unfolds.

The masterly use of suspense and mystery meant I was gripped by this play from beginning to end. Writers are always told: 'it's what you don't say, not what you do say'. It's the questions which aren't answered, not the questions which are. John Busser gives a model for how to do this: the narrative was haunting and deeply moving. With interstellar object 3I/ATLAS currently in our solar system, and speculation rife about possible extra-terrestrial involvement, this play is particularly timely.
