Humanity has spread across much of the Milky Way Galaxy a yet it, and all other life is now being consumed by an organism whose existence can barely be understood: Even the most advanced artificial intelligence at Arianrhod Outpost, is forced to resort to analogies and metaphors. Dale has only several minutes to come to terms that he may be the final witness to the end of all life and yet, in this tense drama, realizes that there is still one thing left that gives life meaning.

There is beauty in hopelessness; the realization of imminent mortality strips away all pretense and highpoints those things dearest to us. And, of course, love comes through. Scott has a truly amazing talent for showing genuine humanity as a product of crisis. This one will stay with you.

Love it! "You're drawing political comparisons where there are none!" Sicklesian humor throughout, effective technique of questions and answers and we're immersed in a complete world which is about to... "does it matter?" Great tension. "Extrapolating from the most available data": Great script by Scott Sickles and a super audio production by Broken Arts Entertainment. Bravo

There's quite a ride that awaits you in Outpost, and it is an immersive one filled with tension, sadness, fear, and finally love and the ultimate release. I so enjoyed playing the part of Dale in Broken Arts Entertainment's audiodrama production of this amazing piece. I was honored to be cast so that I could bring Dale to the edge and through this experience. The premise was chilling, and the language dialed into where it needed to be without getting overly detailed or complicated.

I treated my ears to the wonderfully produced audio of this play by Broken Arts Entertainment, I suggest you do to.
The future is often played out as doom and gloom, this play is no exception, it brings about the end to not just Earth, but the entire Milky Way.
Familiar maybe, but with a Sickles play, it's never that simple, for he sprinkles in his usual mastery of craftsmanship along with a healthy spoonful of love.
And I simply love how subtly sarcastic the computer is!
    Futuristically fabulous!

This script has everything I love in genre theatre: a cool scientific premise, futuristic tech, a ticking clock, and genuine human characters who are impacted by the rest! The worldbuilding is complete and efficient, with plenty of details that emerge organically and never feel heavy-handed. The sense of urgency from moment one kept me on the very edge of my seat, and the bittersweet conclusion kept me thinking about these characters (including the dang computer!) beyond End of Play! Awesome!

Scott Sickles takes us to a time when humanity has spread out across the Milky Way galaxy. But now that incredible advancement is facing complete annihilation. The tension builds rapidly as possibly the last living person learns the harrowing details from a dispassionate computer voice. Remarkably, Sickles turns what is certainly a terrific sci-fi thriller into a beautiful love story. Not only is this a great read, but you can hear a first-rate production from Broken Arts Entertainment at https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4a-U_4AZv8E
    Prepare to be amazed!

Science fiction opens doors from which we can see the unseeable future. Scott Sickles has given us a glimpse at the end of humanity in a harrowing cataclysmic event in deep space. Full of suspense and hopelessness, this short play shines with unexpected twists and turns that deliver us to the jaws of oblivion. What words should represent the human race as the last uttered by our kind? Scott Sickles knows the answer.

Scott Sickles creates a suspense filled, dark comedy, about the last human alive. Or is Dale? You'll have to read this yourself. But the dialogue between the A.I. voice of the station and Dale who has been revived from cryostasis to experience the last moments of human existence, does not disappoint. But what's this? Surprise there's a twist and it's not the one you'd expect. Highly recommend this show.

When the end of all known existence is a mere minutes away, is there ever any hope? Scott Sickles offers an answer to that question (which I won't spoil here) with "Outpost," a taut, suspenseful and romantic science fiction thriller. This is a fantastic opportunity for two actors and a set/lighting designer to have a field day.
    This is an exquisite play.
