Expertly performed in Loved Ones Season 2, this play about uncovered family secrets and how they affect everyone in the family is a powerful story.

A memory long hidden, most likely for “the good of all concerned,” comes rushing back during a visit to a familiar place. Characters in the play are overwhelmed by the revelation and no doubt audiences will be as well. Scott Sickles has created an almost dreamlike scene with engaging characters that draw us into the retelling of a beautiful romance only to force us to wake up to a disturbing reality. Every role is a gem. Hopefully more productions are in store.

What a beautiful and amazing play. The secrets that were held in tight by that generation who felt the best way to live was to just forget the horrible and pick up the pieces and patch them back together and move forward and yet, sometimes, those pieces are not strong enough to stay together forever and can fall out in the most unexpected places. One secret which if known could have helped at least one family who were broken by default of the times.
