Artistic Statement
I write plays about people on the edge. Blending gritty naturalism with theatrical metaphor, my work examines how we use humor, delusion, and memory to cope with a world that doesn't always love us back.
These are 'comedies of survival.' My characters fight to maintain their dignity in systems designed to strip it away, and I am interested in the lies we tell ourselves to keep going. I aim to find the nobility in the 'loser' and the tragedy in the punchline, refusing tidy, sentimental solutions in favor of the complicated weight of being human.
