Artistic Statement
I am a playwright and theatre artist whose work explores the collision of contemporary life, moral choice, and social systems. A longtime producing playwright and arts professional, I have written full-length plays, one-acts, and short works that have been developed primarily in New York City and presented here and many other cities and towns across America. My current work places particular emphasis on urgent public themes, including an AI play, a pharmaceutical tragedy, and a play centered on fracking, each reflecting my interest in the human consequences of technology, power, and profit. I am currently a Resident Playwright with the Roger Hendricks Simon Workshop and a Company Member of New Circle Theatre Company. Recent projects include The Google Affair, produced in multiple festivals in 2025 and 2026 and selected for publication in Smith & Kraus Best Short Plays of 2026; Ever Present Past, produced in 2025; and my full-length play A Dream Beyond This Pain, developed through a 2024 Huntington Arts Council NYSCA grant. Across the body of my work, I bring a thoughtful, theatrically adventurous voice to stories shaped by history, ethics, and the pressures of the present moment.
