I was very lucky to have had the opportunity to have my plays produced and to have been able to direct a lot of my own work at a fairly young age. However, after taking some time off to concentrate on being a later-in-life mom, I feel that in my newer work, which is still primarily character driven, I can subtly, and sometimes not-so-subtly, address questions I have about the world we now live in, that I can write about injustice and despair on a deeper level, while providing a glimmer of hope.
