Artistic Statement

I write play in order to figure out the chaos of life. I write in order to survive. My characters tend to be females: young adults trying to figure out the complexities of the world, older women who are discovering new ways of life. Many of my plays deal with social issues such as cyberbullying, racism, ageism, sexism and violence. However, I also am a firm believer in balancing the light with the dark. I love collaborating with actors, directors and set designers. We are all a community, and I look forward to exploring my world with theater audiences.
