As a pioneer lesbian playwright, I have given voice to the voiceless. That felt really good. I am committed to transmuting my own experience, both romantic and political, into theater -- always with a healthy dose of self-mockery. I'm inspired to bring to life historical figures, such as Lorena Hickok (Eleanor Roosevelt's lover) and Susan B. Anthony, whose lives speak vibrantly to us today. As a feminist, I am honored to channel voices that challenge the mortally ill patriarchy that is killing our world.
