“Foreman says, ‘These jobs are going boys, and they ain’t coming back...’ “ - “My Hometown” Bruce Springsteen

I come from a working class city in the Midwest where people are not always comfortable with expressing their feelings, thoughts and / or emotions.
My plays draw on those moments that make up the lives I see in the day to day. The incidents and stories that often get overlooked. Personally, the most exciting, impactful and memorable times in my life are moments I never realized were important at the time - they were just moments in a life.
I started out in the theatre as an actor. I love actors and writing for them. My plays are character driven stories with meaty and challenging roles with flawed or broken characters. Or at least, that is what I strive for.
I want my characters stories to be heard and felt by people of all walks of life. While I am very careful to not preach in my plays, I do want the audience to leave thinking...and feeling.
