Artistic Statement

"For an actress to be a success, she must have the face of Venus, the brains of a Minerva, the grace of Terpsichore, the memory of a Macaulay, the figure of Juno, and the hide of a rhinoceros." — Ella Wheeler Wilcox

I have long held these words as my North Star. In this industry, and particularly as a woman of color, they resonate with a profound, lived necessity. To navigate this space requires not just the elegance of the arts, but the resilience of that "rhinoceros hide."

I am, and have always been, a storyteller. I am a dreamer at heart, driven by the conviction that stories possess an alchemical power: the power to inform, to uplift, to warn, and to transform. Yet, a vital question remains: who will tell our stories? Who will champion the narratives—whether dreamed, fabricated, or lived—that have been hidden, forgotten, or most dangerously, dismissed as "unimportant"?

I will.
