As a playwright, I am influenced by, whom I consider, the greats of comedy writing: George S. Kaufman, Moss Hart, Noel Coward, Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur, Robert Benchley, Mrs. Parker, F.P.A., Ring Lardner, and others from that era. I love the sound of a well-turned phrase and a laugh line perfectly executed. I believe in theater as entertainment, that it can be exhilarating, moving and thought-provoking, all at the same time. I try, in my plays, to provide that sort of entertainment.
