I aim to tell compelling stories about trailblazing women, both real and fictional. Research allows me to dive deep into the aspects of humanity or culture with which I am grappling, and provides me a jumping off point from which I take artistic liberty. That liberty allows me to craft unique pieces, and to tell historically-based and original stories through a modern, feminist lens.

My plays often incorporate stylized movement, which offers audiences what the multitude of excellent streaming content in every living room cannot: a spectacular experience. Coupled with the inherent, unbeatable interactive nature of live performance, spectacular theater has the power to lure audiences into buying theater tickets and hiring babysitters in an age when they really do have easier, cheaper options. And what it takes to create the spectacular is collaboration — which also happens to be my favorite thing about theater.
