I write magical plays about remarkable women who've been forgotten by history. My protagonists are curious, bold and unique. (For example: a maid in the 1890s who became an astronomy pioneer, a closeted film-noir star being hounded by the tabloids and a foul-mouthed backstreet abortionist from 1950s Ireland.) I use humor and magical realism to turn true events of the past into a theatrical experience.
