For me theater is a chance to be transported out of everyday life into a rich world of imagery, light, sound, speech and fascinating characters doing surprising things. I try to provide as many of those opportunities as I can. My preoccupations include the power women do and don’t have in our society, what tempts a woman to cross lines and what happens when we do. These surface repeatedly in my writing, though sometimes I'm just trying to make people laugh.
