Artistic Statement
I aim to change the canon.
I started creating new work because I stopped seeing the roles I wanted to play. I want
funny, intelligent, quick, nuanced, flawed, complicated characters — women who are angry
and kind, self-reflective and yearning, desperate and bold, — characters who not only define
themselves in relation to others, but who are charting their own course in the world.
