Jennifer Walton was awarded the 2021 Voaden Prize in Playwrighting for Gun Play (After the Gun Goes Off) and a member of the Playwright Guild of Canada. She is co-artistic director and member of Women's Work Playwright Collective in Hamilton, Ontario. She was also a member of the Theatre Aquarius Playwright Unit. She is an actor with a background in therapeutic arts, leads workshops in the corporate, public, and education sectors that inspire connection. She served as Co-Director of The Creative Theatre Company for 30 years, an acting school for young people in the Toronto area.
