Artistic Statement

Theater has the power to entertain, educate, motivate and stimulate. It can break down bias and change peoples' perspective. Much of my work is character driven. I listen and I follow their lead. They inform the story and drive the plot. After many years as an actor, I think about writing for the stage from the actor's perspective, informed by the power of place. I enjoy travel, history, reading, museums, art, photography and going to the theater to see new works and experience story telling through the lens of other playwrights and actors.
