Artistic Statement
What happens when people aren’t talking to each other? 75% of our lives are spent in the mundane: the dishes, the driving to work, the TV watching, the drive-through, the laundry folding and the phone scrolling. As theatre practitioners, we feel the need to highlight the most heightened moments in life. I’m interested in writing the situations where the two can be juxtaposed, the moments in between. I want the empower actors and directors to fill in the blanks of character’s lives through their everyday actions.
