I am fascinated by the big dreams we have and the hard decisions we make.
As a pudgy half-Japanese half-Italian figure skating playwright, I am an expert in class-passing, not quite fitting in, and wishing I weighed five pounds fewer. As a result, I often fixate on stories about class, the body, and people obsessed with change. I write for the outcasts, the underdogs, and that still 12-year old version of me that has no idea what's yet to come.
