I write about historical events, events that changed societies and the lives of individuals. I am interested in how those who were present and affected by such events continue on with their lives, or don’t. I am interested in the idea of freedom and what it means to different people at different times. What freedom is of mind and body. How we as humans move through our individual worlds with all the trappings of self. I think theatre is not only there to entertain, but to open our minds to new ideas and possibilities, and to hold a microscope up to things we thought we understood and show other sides not considered.
