A feeling overwhelms me while driving at night, when I can see from the interstate the distant lights of houses and become aware of the people living there under those lights, as if seeing those lights and pondering them brings us closer together and allows us to know each other, even to love each other. This desire to know others and for them to know me, to grow and support each other in that knowledge, is what compels me to write plays. I strive to mesh my own experience with that of others and to send people away changed on a deep level, hoping they will act on that change. I believe deeply in the power of shared experience in theatre to heal and empower. My plays center on the intersection of spirituality, community, and nature.
