My plays feature distinctive, quirky, humanly flawed women and unique, often gritty locations in and around Boston where I grew up, especially those that offer a rich economic, ethnic and racial mix. My dramas might range from light and funny with a bit of an edge to dark and intense with a hint of mystery, but more and more often I find myself exploring issues of social isolation, and what I consider the most intriguing aspect of the human condition: our ability to endure. During Covid, when there was little in the way of production opportunities but, oddly enough, a few calls for horror plays, I tapped into my love for telling ghost stories by the campfire and started creating full evenings of short and scary plays. I had so much fun with this genre that I recently completed my first full-length mystery, called Crime Fiction.
