The most recent of my writing has revolved around generations of families and friends and what legacies we leave behind and move forward with. How do we move forward? I find myself asking this after good and bad events in my life, and I try to resolve that question through my writing. My goal with my creative works is to try to deliver my experience, in all of its failures and successes, in a way that feels honest and resonant. I want everyone to recognize parts of themselves, their struggles or successes, in my own work. And I want my scripts and projects to be a safe, inclusive space, where anyone can gather to explore and find truths together. I still do not know the best way to do that, but writing is my continual effort towards it.
