Like my theater company, I am most interested in what I call a Theater of Ideas: political, scientific, philosophical, and above all theatrical. I am inspired by classic absurdism, in that my work tries to find the comedy in the tragedy. My work is sometimes, though not always, experimental in nature, with an emphasis on thought out structure and dramaturgy. I am particularly interested in adaptation (from literature and legends) and playing with structural form, language, puppetry, music (especially opera), video, audience interaction, and found text.
