Artistic Statement
I'm passionate about intersectionality in classical and contemporary theatre, and a proud member of the Queer Shakespeare Project. I'm particularly interested in representations of queer youth and intersectional feminism within mythic structures and poetic modes.
My current writing project is a triptych of pieces inspired by Greek tragedy, collectively titled a Queer Dionysia, which explores queer ancestry and history, and the possibility of deconstructing the gender binary of classical pieces within the mythic framework that Western culture claims as origin.
