When not writing, Foley sometimes likes to walk while thinking about writing. He has hiked to the top of Mount Whitney, Pyramid Peak, and Mount Tallac, among others. He has walked many of the national trails in England, including the Offa’s Dyke Path, the Cleveland Way, and the Hadrian’s Wall Path.
