I focus on the contemporary colonization of Indigenous people and the issues that arise. I think it is essential that our historical stories be told. Many have been erased from American identity, but I believe our people must also be seen as who we are now. I’m interested in the conflict and the compromises when tradition meets survival in a settler world.
