Artistic Statement
As a playwright, I grapple with fundamental questions that echo in my mind: What is my role, and what purpose do I serve? In this perpetual introspection, I find my answer: I tell truths with lies. The lies are not deceit but vessels, conveying the essential truths that define my purpose. Stripped to its essence, my mission is about evoking our inherent capacity for empathy.
My stories aim to unravel the tapestry of human experience, traversing the spectrum of the good, the bad, and the vast terrain in between—reflecting the shared complexities of our daily lives. I don't assume the roles of a teacher, shaman, prophet, politician, activist, or salesman; I embrace my humanity, standing solely as a playwright. With each new narrative, I embark on the journey by saying, "Once upon a time... there existed a person or people, not in reality, but in the collective human experience we all share."
