Artistic Statement
As a playwright, I explore with the power and promise of narrative. The way we remember where we've been is the key to imagining a future that can transform us all.
I believe that theater is a muscled imaginative practice that allows us to practice an empathetic future that moves away from oppression. I am always working at the intersections of identity, especially around gender, race, class, and sexuality, to create a theatrical future capable of holding us all in the fullness of our identities and the depth of our possibilities.
