In my art, I try to capture the moments of normal among the wild storm of life. My stories are written for everyone, but with a focus on the lives of people of color, and living within predominantly white spaces. Living in a world where black trauma is so often the narrative, I want to flip that increasingly somber genre on its head and lift up the optimistic voices of black people and show that we are more than our struggles.
