Artistic Statement

I’m female first generation American: African and West Indian. I write what I see around me. Write myself into a world that doesn’t see me. I started out to be a lawyer, but discovered that I lied too well, so I decided to become a playwright instead and do less harm. I felt in like I knew how to talk for the first time without a piece of paper and pen.
