KR Willoughby (also known as Kaylon) is an actor, director, and playwright from south Louisiana. Having fostered a love of storytelling from a young age, KR has devoted himself to approaching theatre from a holistic perspective, honing skills both on and off stage. He earned his Bachelor's in Performance and Directing from Northwestern State University in 2022, having also studied playwriting with Del Shores.
His playwriting has earned several accolades, most notably as a three-time Finalist for the Del Shores Foundation Writer’s Search, and his work has been produced across the United States (and that one time in Amsterdam). He is also the founder and Artistic Director of the independent audio drama production company, Jekyll House Productions. When not writing, he can usually be found somewhere in New Orleans, drinking an amaretto sour and hiding from the city's many, MANY ghosts.
