Sam Heyman (he/they) is a queer, Jewish writer and former educator based in Nashville, TN - after growing up in TN, Sam attended college at Denison University where he studied English with a concentration in Creative Writing and Queer Studies. While at Denison, Sam had several of his plays produced by the Denison Independent Theatre Association, and published in the student literary publication, Exile. Since graduating in 2014, Sam has continued to cultivate his writing, taking several workshops with The Porch Writers' Collective and attending the Sewanee Writers Conference as a contributing playwright in 2021. In 2022, Sam was selected as a Playwriting Fellow for the Lambda Literary Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ Voices, and in 2023, his one-act play, "Triptych - A Love Story in Three...

He is currently hard at work revising a novel, searching for a new day job, and organizing the monthly Playwrights Thriving Reading Series.
