I am a storyteller who believes in the power of drama to reflect, enlighten, entertain, and guide. I try to write about the universal in the particular: characters great and small that trouble a river of time and speak to us from the past, in the present, and into the future. I believe that humor is a critical aspect of character and circumstance. I hold with the adage "You can't make an audience cry if you don't make them laugh first," but I have no idea who said that.
