But this happy occasion is threatened when the young couple venture out into the neighborhood. A confrontation with locals, the police, a gun, and the fact that Eugene is Black, will force this American family to face hard truths about what it means to belong, to trust, and to forgive. Rob and Frank are a happily married couple in their sixties living in Hoboken. Later that evening, Rob learns that his husband Franklin is short-listed for appointment to the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Unable to contact Dylan directly, Rob leaves a public comment responding to the podcast, accidentally identifying himself and his home as the site of WEDNESDAY’S BOY. Meanwhile, WEDNESDAY’S BOY is bought by Netflix as content for their next season—that news and the identity of the two old Gay Guys in Hoboken spreads like a viral wildfire across the internet. Mayhem ensues.
