I have been writing on and off professionally for over 40 years. My goal is to create work that is both substantive and commercial. I think a play should be about something important and still be engaging to the audience. For instance, my dark comedy, Window of Opportunity, which was produced both as a play and then a feature film, is about corporate greed and sociopathy. It is also is very, very funny with lots of twists and turns in the story. So, my goal with everything I write for film, TV, fiction and theater is be very entertaining and still make the audience think and be moved emotionally.
