I like to work on plays about girls losing their minds, farms & large animals, hot hot hot desert climates, ghosts, and violent disruptions of power. & always, queer characters whose least interesting traits are their queerness. I keep accidentally dipping my toes into horror and I'm not sure what to make of that fact.

I am curious about how long you can sit in discomfort, and where your mind wanders in those moments. Moments of silence. Moments of MUSIC and SOUND. Finding the line between reality and a secret other place, and knowing when to let others in on the secret. 

My favorite thing to see onstage is girls & femme characters going batshit & not caring if they’re looking pretty & saying mean bitter nasty things because they come from the heart and they would rather die than keep that shit inside… also well-crafted stage violence, bloody moments, and other visceral things that make me squirm a little.

Some things I'm thinking about: My past as a horse girl, shearing sheep, cults, being Irish, the heavy winter coats of gender.
