Artistic Statement
I became a playwright because I wanted to contribute to the socio-political conversation without the burden of running for office. I’m not diplomatic. I march to the beat of my own drum, and I’m queer as hell. So a political career is not attractive to me in the slightest.
My plays aim to highlight folks who live on the fringes of society. The marginalized, the forgotten, the flawed, they all are afforded the opportunity to have main character energy in my plays.
