Oftentimes my playwrighting process starts with a question I want to explore. I start writing with very few things planned out, with the exception of what I want the audience to take away from my work. I write to tell stories and entertain, yes, but I believe the best type of theatre is the kind that has you driving home with a new perspective on some part of your human experience. I also try to write plays with low-budget and novice theaters in mind, because a lack of money never means a lack of quality.
