All of us seek to understand the world. As we grow, we often discover several truths. One I've found to be true is that the world is often unkind, and the things that happen to us strange and upsetting. Thus, our only response can be kindness, both to ourselves and to others. I approach writing with an intent to invite kindness and love in all forms, because it can be found wherever we are looking, even in the darkest of places. I find inspiration in the writings of Sarah Kane and Paula Vogel, and I love to share stories that aren't often talked about. Everyone deserves to see themselves represented in the world, and I write for what I wish I could have seen when I was younger.
