Mitchell Gavin (He/Him/His) is a Boston-based horror playwright and creator of the Boston New Playwrights Expo! Hailing from Minneapolis, MN, Mitchell has a long and diverse background in theatre. From working backstage at both The Huntington Theatre Company and The Glimmerglass Opera Festival, to producing his own films and plays in Boston's South End.

The Blood In Our Lungs is a horror period piece about two friends that dig up the body of
a vampire. In 1850, northeastern America experienced a vampire craze in response to
tuberculosis. As legend goes, a vampire will spread disease amongst your community once
buried. Each region developed its own folklore for how to dispose of the vampire and stop the
curse including (but not limited to) decapitation, burning...

The Blood In Our Lungs is a horror period piece about two friends that dig up the body of

tuberculosis. As legend goes, a vampire will spread disease amongst your community once
buried. Each region developed its own folklore for how to dispose of the vampire and stop the
curse including (but not limited to) decapitation, burning, relatives of the vampire breathing the
air of the vampire’s flesh, and even the classic stake through the heart. This story takes place at
night in a Graveyard in Providence, RI 1850.
