A graduate of the University of Miami, Gina Montet has been active in South Florida Theater for almost twenty years as a writer, director and actor. Gina began her career as a playwright in 1998 with her musical, Little Fire at the Coconut Grove Playhouse where she continued to write and direct for eight seasons. Among her many successful works are her environmental education and literacy incentive plays for young audiences which have been touring Florida since 2000 and continue to entertain and educate tens of thousands students throughout Florida each year. Gina’s work has been produced and developed by several organizations including: Theatre Lab at FAU, City Theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Fantasy Theatre Factory at Sandrell Rivers Theater, The Playwright Center Minneapolis, Mangrove Creative Collective, The Greenhouse at Florida International University, The Miami Dade Department Cultural Affairs Playwright Development Program, and the Center for Performing Arts Minneapolis. An experienced educator, Gina shares her talents with several schools and theater programs in Miami where she teaches Theatre Arts and Film Production.
