This poor father is undone by a discovery made about a beloved children's book series. One challenge to a long-held but mistaken conviction and he is unmoored. His hysterical hysteria builds to a meta-theatrical climax. This is a boisterously funny and thoroughly engaging monologue that would be a real treat in performance.

Grief can be simple, straightforward and raw. Grief can be distorted by context and the reactions of others. In the powerful Lilies it is both. The journey we take with Turner and Marie has engrossing twists and turns, both narrative and emotional. It is a journey well worth taking.

Aunt Nellie's two cents offer invaluable and compassionate wisdom in the face of Flo's disgruntlement with her son's career path and potential spouse. These women are depicted with great care and attention to detail giving this slice-of-life play its heft and substance.

Wow. Lindsey take us on a dark and compelling ride, gradually revealing the true depth of her disturbed psyche. This gripping monologue is also filled with flashes of ironic humor. Lindsey is an indelible, if ultimately horrifying, character.

A lovely meditation on grief and on the importance of family heirlooms. Jeff and Lise start off tentatively and build to a real connection and understanding. This play is wise and moving.

This particular father-son evening leads to difficult revelations that are ultimately moving and life-affirming.
Both father and son are vividly drawn and their situation is compelling.

A subtle depiction of the effects of casual and unexplored racism perpetrated by a smug, self-satisfied, self-justifying harridan. The build of the piece is taut and the ultimate pay-off is devastating. This is a clear-eyed portrait of the banality of evil.

Sue Ellan makes her point in a unique and unsettling way. Avery and Brock learn once and for all not to mess with mom's holiday traditions, no matter how onerous. This would be a welcome addition to any holiday themed festival.

Such a witty take on the novice writer and the hungry actor! The writer's naivete and the actor's frustration are both sources of rich humor. What is perhaps most engaging about this play is how truly funny it is, both in characterization and in laugh-out-loud line after laugh-out-loud line.
