Jeffry received his MFA in Playwriting from Ohio University in 2015. Jeffry received his MFA in Playwriting from Ohio University in 2015. His thesis play DAUPHIN ISLAND reached semifinalist status with the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, was awarded a 2016 Edgerton Foundation New Play Award and received it's world premiere at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in March 2017. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival commissioned Jeffry to write a play set in Montgomery during the Civil War. This work, BLOOD DIVIDED, received a 2011 Edgerton Foundation New Plays Award. In 1998, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts honored Jeffry with the Roger L. Stevens Award for his first play FULL CIRCLE.
