  • Plastic Love
    13 Dec. 2018
This is a beautiful play! Fearless experimentation with form, and equally fearless embrace of a tragic, technocratic future we may very well be heading for -- and yet, explored with humanity, imagination, and love. The perfect antidote to dystopia.
  • Creep (aka Loveland)
    15 Sep. 2018
A play about sexual assault should do the opposite of a Twitter post, or even a newspaper article. In Loveland, horror, rage, and distrust lurk menacingly beneath the surface, while everyday life floats on top by default, and nothing at all is certain. MT Cozzola’s characters are smart, deftly observed, and nothing if not complex in this subtle and devastating play.
  • How to Raise a Pop-Up Kid
    15 Sep. 2018
The Pop-Up Kid explores modern coping mechanisms with an understated and graceful sense of loss, lots of humor, and a song about a guy’s corgi. Surprising dialogue, endearing characters, and a delightfully odd point of view make this play a subtle and fulfilling meal.
  • Until Death (Do us Part)
    6 Apr. 2018
I love this play. Dana Lynn Formby's imagination is off the charts, and equally matched by her gentle, forgiving insight into human nature.
  • Infatuation
    6 Apr. 2018
What does it mean to know yourself in the age of meticulous self-awareness? And what does it mean to love someone? Hallie Palladino explores both questions with courage and hilarity in Infatuation. I especially enjoy the fact that so full a story is told through scenes among just three characters, the members of a love triangle (one of whom is unwitting). It always simmers, but comes close to a delightful boil whenever all three are in the room together.
  • Nameless and Shameless! Being an Appropriation of the Wilkie Collins Sensation Novel NO NAME
    5 Apr. 2018
This is a clever adaptation of a Victorian melodrama, which becomes a whole other wonderful, self-mocking, very, very funny thing in the hands of MT Cozzola. A highly-recommended opportunity for playing with acting styles, and any number of other homages to the period.
