Artistic Statement

My work is about sex.
And our hunger to connect. And all the things that make that
impossible, embarrassed, ashamed.

And how we keep trying anyway.

My plays grow in fields of rape culture, where the value of a body is read & appraised
By color, shape, genitals.
(note: this paradoxical earth also contains unimaginable joy, and radical wonder).

My work is about finding community in an age of isolation and difference.
Where music might be the key to rusty doors on hardened hearts.
My work is about the space that emerges when people are
brave enough to be imperfect.
