Drew Paryzer

Drew Paryzer (puh-RYE-zurr) is a playwright and narrative designer for immersive experiences. His plays have been developed or presented at the Kennedy Center, Roundabout Theatre Company, The Road, Pegasus PlayLab, UT New Theater, Pivot Arts Festival, Fusebox Festival, and Tofte Lake Center, amongst others. He's additionally been a finalist for the O'Neill, Ojai, and Seven Devils new play conferences.

Drew holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, where he received the Lipkin Prize, and an MFA in Playwriting from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was a James A. Michener Fellow. After a long absence, Loverboy finally returns: to his childhood home, and his Mom. As they work to maintain an unexpected new business enterprise, the stampeding strangeness of Loverboy’s internal life threatens to irrevocably separate them. Loverboy is an ode to the bond between parent and child, an examination of belonging in the sharing-economy era, and a two-hander for approximately fifty-two performers.
