  • The Big Bad Kush

Little Red Riding Hood is one of my favorite fairy tales and this is such a great adaptation for adults. What a comical concept to think that the Wolf lured Little Red with your not-so-typical flowers. Lindsay so accurately captures the nonsensical, yet hyper aware thoughts of the weed induced.
  • Another Healthy Relationship

I love the movement with the flashlights in this piece so much. A wonderful meditation on what it means to be bound to another person, or not.
  • The Russians (are Coming) - ten-minute play
    12 May. 2020
A spoof of a completely original idea of American spies in Russia, who decide it's time to get out of the "business". This play combines American history, pop-culture and today's political circus into a bite-sized play that reminds me of a condensed tv episode. Congrats to Paco (and his play) for being the featured play on NPX's home page today!
  • Torak The Inadequate
    8 Apr. 2020
I first read an earlier draft of this play back in 2017 and had the pleasure of revisiting it via a Zoom reading a few days ago. I immediately was reminded of how this play, like Rory, is a little bit silly, a little bit poetic, but always so endearing. Torak The Inadequate moves through fantastical pre-historic times, but always has its finger on what it means to be a person in the modern age, and what it means to live up to other people's expectations of oneself.
  • The Age of Understanding or, The Character of Dad
    18 Mar. 2020
I performed in this play at Mid-America Theater Conference in 2020. At its core, this play is about a man trying to fit into his definition of what a father should be, which is complicated by his own relationship with his father. But this play is also about a marriage and a family and how having a child changes both of those things irrevocably.
  • The World is Ending and Maybe That's Kinda Hot
    18 Mar. 2020
This was the play that I needed during the beginning of this COVID-19 crisis. It's hilarious satire that really captures the millennial voice. I love Catherine's synonyms that combine lyrical language with pop-culture references in the best possible way.
  • PRACTICE HOUSE
    16 Mar. 2020
I worked with Rachael as a dramaturg on this play for Mid-America Theater Conference's Plays in Progress series in 2020. It is a wonderfully wrought play about young women confronting (or refusing to) their "place" in a dystopian world that Rachel describes as "what my grandmother would talk like if she were on crack". This play has great roles for young women and would be perfect to produce in a college setting (as well as a professional setting- ALL of the settings).
