Rory Leahy was born in Evanston IL and has been making things up and acting them out since very shortly afterward. He has written, directed, produced and performed in many plays including for his own company, American Demigods in Chicago. His short works have been published in The Best American Short Plays 2012-2013 from Applause Theater And Books and The Best Ten Minute Plays 2013 from Smith And Krauss. He has ventured into screenwriting, co-writing David Holcombe's film Yellow AKA City of Lust from Soft Cage Films. He earned his MFA in Playwriting from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2017.
