  • 57 HOURS IN THE HOUSE OF CULTURE (full-length play)
    30 May. 2018
This is probably my favorite Yancey play. High stakes, rich characters, an immersive theatre environment -- what's not to like? You certainly don't need to know recent Russian history to appreciate this effort. Be sure to give it a look.
  • THE CELLPHONES OF THE DEAD (ten-minute)
    30 May. 2018
I was there for the first performance (actually, I was in it), just days after the 2007 shooting at Virginia Tech. Based on actual circumstances, this short play retains its power and poignancy even a decade later. Highly recommended.
  • Silueta by Diana Burbano, Tom Shelton and Chris Shelton
    30 May. 2018
This is one that has stayed with me. I saw a reading of SILUETA five years ago at Great Plains Theatre Conference; as performed by Diana and Tom, Ana and Carl engage in a deadly dance that's profoundly haunting and tragic. The mystery of that night drives this powerful script. It's a beautiful piece.
  • World Builders

I saw an excellent production of WORLD BUILDERS this week in Nashville. It's a beautiful script, compelling and unexpectedly complex. One of my favorites so far this year!
